Title: How to reinstall Avast after my OS crashed and had to reformat?
Post by: donpalchak on February 13, 2010, 09:13:47 PM
I had to reformat my hard drive because I got the "black screen of death" as some may call it.  I couldn't backup my files because there was nothing on the screen but the mouse cursor.  I have just paid for a full year subscription a couple weeks before the Avast.  How will I be able to reinstall that without having to pay for $40 all over again?  I need an antivirus in my system asap, and I'll use the free version for now until I find out how I could use my fully paid version again.

I appreciate any help.

Hi...

You should be able to have Alwil send you a replacement key by contacting them at the sales (e-mail) address here. (http://www.avast.com/contacts) Just explain to them what happened. :)

God bless :)
