Help Possible Virus Infection Avast not helping
« on: September 28, 2012, 08:41:24 PM »
Hello,
I need urgent help, first of all i am not good with computers at all so please bear that in mind. I've had Avast and Malwarebytes running simultaneously for couple of years now. Yesterday i had tried to download TinyUmbrella from this website and after i had downloaded it, immediately i noticed:

- Could not open any desktop icons
- Could not download anything

I managed to open Malwarebytes and Avast and have run tests and have deleted 3 viruses/bugs. But the problem still remains.

I tried to do a system restore but again, every program not just the desktop icons are unresponsive.

The strange part is that i can open Google Chrome, Avast and Malwarebytes but i can not open anything.

Plus MBytes and Avast was running at the same time how could the virus by bypass it?

What can i do?

Here is the information on my Avast:

Current Version: 120928-0
7.0.1466

The virus i had deleted was something connected to 7zip.
