NO matter where I am on the net, for the last 3 days I am getting Avast pop-up about them blocking this, but I cannot find any information on it at all. What is it, and how do I get rid of it? All I am receiving is http://urlfilter.vmn.net/vmnsbf/data/121114080835-m.zip|1211... and that it is blocked by Avast. Anyone else having the same issue?

Yes I'm also getting the same popup from Avast! indicating the Trojan has been blocked. It is happening randomly.
I do not know what to do to make it stop because I don't know where its coming from.

Were you looking for a toolbar cleaning program? http://urlquery.net/report.php?id=166960 (http://urlquery.net/report.php?id=166960) Site this links to is infected. Click screenshot in upper right to expand (this is safe to do, as urlquery.net is a third-party web checking tool to check to see if a site is clean or not). Is this what you saw?
AdwCleaner is much safer and better suited for this sort of task, just so you know.

This is anti-phishing domain stuff causing this issue...essex will look into further...I dont even call it a infection [personal opinion] its just downloading malware from some site that is being blocked by avast! ;)
-
you use avast to scan and delete the infected files

CLEAR THE BAD TOOLBARS
Download AdwCleaner from here (http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner) to your desktop
Run AdwCleaner and select Delete
(https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/AdwCleaner.GIF)
Once done it will ask to reboot, allow this
On reboot a log will be produced please attach that

Hello,
it is still the same story: non-crypted database of malicious URLs used by visicom antiphishing.

I am getting this too, tried the log for removing it (attaching log to a different post) but when running the aswMBR it came up as a heur.suspicious warning with comodo.
