Possible Trojan attack logged in Sygate Firewall
« on: May 27, 2005, 03:12:47 PM »
I just downloaded the latest definitions update 521-4.

It has triggered an alert in my Sygate Personal firewall logs which reads as follows:

"Trojan horse "IntrusePack 1.27b detected in C:\Programs Files\Alwil\Software\Avast4\Setup\avast.setup, process id: 408

Description: Fail to terminate the process."

Should I be alarmed or not?

Strange... avast.setup is the executable to update avast... It can't be an infected process. Even strange if you're using the free version of Sygate... Are you using the Pro version of it? Which feature detects trojan horses in Sygate?
