3 menu items are disabled

I'm new to Avast antivirus home edition 4.8 and noticed that 3 items in the menu-- Status Information, Last Scan Results and View Scan Reports are all disabled or greyed out except when it's right after I do a scan, then it gives all that info on the screen that is still up and I can view scan reports too. But once I close that interface screen and the regular interface screen is up and I go to menu, all 3 are disabled again.  Seems like I should be able to view these 3 things at any time. Is that how it's supposed to be? Thanks for any help.

In the Home version there is a very limited data collection, the Status information relates to the current scan so would not have anything if you hadn't just done a scan and the Simple User Interface for that scan session was still open. The same is true of the Scan Results, it relates to the current scan.

The view scan reports will never be enabled as no historic data is generated or more importantly stored in the free Home version, it is in the Pro version. Personally I don't feel the need to view historic data.
