Title: How to speed up avast

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had any settings suggestions or advice on any options that are not really necessary to turn off.  It is most certainly one of the quickest AVs but it is still slowing down my computer marginally.  Thanks!

The default settings are the best for a balance between performance and safety, if you dont use things like p2p or im those shields can be uninstalled but honestly you wont notice any difference.
Alot of performace issues come down to what other things you have running ?other security apps, you can check your startups with msconfig or ccleaner and disable anything you dont need to help performance.
