avast.exe wants to access my data files?

I thought this odd...  Why would Avast want to access data files in my Documents folder?

avast! needs to access every file on your computer to keep you safe.
That is it's job. That is what you hired avast! to do when you installed it.
If it can't access your files, it can't keep you safe. :)
