Title: Security Zone Policy
Post by: gtr362 on February 17, 2009, 09:41:37 PM
There have been several times I have tried to download certain things, and the download will not go through.  A message comes up saying, "This download had been blocked by your Security Zone policy."  I'm certain that these are reputable sites.  How would I temporarily disable Avast in order to let the down load through.  Or do they know something I don't?

That type of message would normally be related to the browser settings, not the AV settings, and is (normally) generated by Windows.
Can you post a screenshot?
Can you try the download using another browser?

I think these alerts come from Firefox, have a look at the link,in perticular, the bit further down " Enable downloads blocked by Security Zone Policy "
