[AVAST 2014 RTM] Offline updates not working, gives error.

AVAST 2014 RTM] Windows 7 SP1 X86


"AVAST OFFLINE UPDATE FILE" is very useful for those systems which dont have internet connectivity.


After installing AVAST 2014 RTM on its release date, today i downloaded offline update file and try to offline update avast 2014.
But found that avast 2014 is not accepting offline update and gives error. Here is the exact error message.

This program updates VPS database only for program version 7.0.1500 or less.

Installed program version is 7.0.2006.

Please download the latest vpsupdate again.

I think avast 2014 uses a new installer method and the offline update file (exe) is still using old installer.
Another thing to consider is AVAST 2014 FREE setup is 81 MB large while offline update file is 104 MB large.

Note : I have downloaded the offline update from official website.

I have done a clean installation of avast 2014 free and registered.
The offline update file (exe) is not corrupt and was successfully downloaded with IDM.
