Downloading Avast 4 Home

Hi I,m new at this ... please bear with me. I have had avast recommended to me as being a top product which I have no reason to doubt it is.
Problem is I can register avast 4 home. I can register for the forums but I am unable to download avast 4 home itself for some reason. Is there a problem with the server at present or something as I keep getting "page unavailable" or "server cannot be found". Any form of help would be appreciated as I would like to use this product. Tks

Many thanks for your help FastGame downloaded from your suggested location and is working perfectly. I believe that it could have had something to do with windows security pack 2.
as I had just recently cleared my temps. Tks again.

Some of the avast servers in Texas have been effected by Hurricane Rita so this may have been the possible problem, so using the download.com site has bypassed that issue.

David, Kubec said this was not correct. None of the avast servers were affected in USA.

Just following your lead

Sparksy, Rita Hurricane has turned off some servers near to Houston. So, maybe, that's your problem. Other servers (like the one you've taken at www.download.com could work 

Latest Update on download issue:

According to my info, none of the servers was affected by Rita.
I even wrote 'checker' tool which does test DNS settings, files redirector and the existing content. All systems go.
We just need to isolate the problem.
If it's a DNS problem - so the files.avast.com does not resolve at all or it's a connection problem or if it's a problem with download managers/traffic filters...
