Got this message on two recent Avast scans - with a list of 26 oddly-named files I do not recognize, such as:

C:\...\buttonLeft.png
C:\..\button.LeftFinished.png
C:\...\buttonRight.png
C:\...\buttonRightFinished.png
C:\...\bgCloseProgram.png

And I hear a lot of "pings" now, even while just reading a web page, with no USB functions in use, no programs being opened or closed by me, etc., nothing but reading, but all this activity sound.

What shall I use to fix/clear this?  I see suggestions such as "SiSoftware Sandra Lite," and several other things on various forums.
Anyone have any idea what to do with this?
Thanks ~!

files that can not be scanned are just that, no more no less....it does not mean they are infected (this is the most asked question in the forum, so lots of info if you search)
avast just tell you it could not scan them and the reason why

if you put your mouse pointer on the vertical bar just in front of SEVERITY and dragg sideways, you will get the full file path

post that here, or better a screenshot of it then we may be able to tell you what files they are....

OK, here is one screenshot page.  I have ten of these pages.

btw, the entire file list on my pc speeds by when I try to select one - and then must backtrack slowly through the list to select the correct file.  True of USB files as well.  What's up with that?

Tried to send four screen shots, but system wouldn't accept all.

Appreciate any help re: what to do about this.

Thanks

I use CCleaner regularly, during and after online sessions.

Lately, I have been bookmarking a lot of sites using Firefox - could that be it?
The complete list of locked files must be about 250 items.  Don't think I bookmarked that many pages by a long way.

Last night Malawarebytes caught one suspicious item, "PUG:funmoods" and removed it.

There is how. a stumble - or delayed action - between anything showing up when I type on the keyboard - and the screen - and I still hear the pings that sound like someone is accessing the PC remotely.

Do you think I'm jeopardizing security any more by using the PC before I can take it in for a virus scan?

Thanks !
