Forum time-zone ??
« on: March 20, 2012, 12:12:20 AM »
I never thought about it before, but I see the forum uses UTC-1 time, which is located somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

My timezone is CET which is UTC+1  (without summertime in Europe).

I have my offset in my profile set to 2 hours and that gives me current time here as expected.

But why UTC-1 as default time?

Hopefully Vlk (or whoever) will be along soon with a better answer, but in the meantime I'm confused.  Possibly there's been changes relatively recently, but it used to be that forum time (before adjusting in one's profile to one's own local time) was local time in Prague, naturally enough, which if I remember correctly is UTC+2 (or was it +3?).

Hi;
Thanks for your interest.

Prague is in timezone UTC+1 (CET) without Summertime which is for 5 more days this season,
and then in timezone UTC+2 (CEST) when in Summertime.

I did a forum-search, and I found one question and zero answers for this.

Lets wait for the wise guys: Why UTC-1 as forum-time?  ::)
