This file is on my computer for over two years, which has not been modified since 2004 and is a Pinnacle process.

Hello,
some files with this filename arrived to us -- if it is the same issue it will be fixed in next VPS update. If the next update don't fix it then send us (virus@avast.com) the file and put "False positive" to subject.

Thanks for that.

We are now having the same problem with C:\Windows\System32\hkcmd.exe.  A lot of our workstations are now showing a Win-32 Malware gen virus in that file.

Hi,
no submits with this filename and detection "Win32:Malware-gen" arrived to us.
Send us (virus@avast.com) the file to analyze and put "False positive" to subject.

Thank you,
Milos
