As your the one doing the thesis i suggest you use google and your local libary, the avast forum isnt in place to continually help you with your subjects.

Or even a Yahoo search returns more hit than you can shake a stick at, using the last three words of your subject http://uk.search.yahoo.com/search?p=history+of+spyware.

Bing also gives excellent results on the subject at :

and this one in particular should give you what you need :

but scroll down to the History section.
