My Vista with 64 bit support locks up after down load while re-booting. I had to restart in safe mode and go to an older Restore point to get my system to work. Does this fix stop that problem and is the Avast 8 now safe for Vista users?

This is unrelated to the new build. (Is a virus definitions issue and will be fixed shortly).

Update from .1482 UI on XP Pro and win7 32bit and all appears to be fine, though I didn't have any problems with .1482.

upgraded, nicely done.

Just to let u know, doesn't matter to me, but it still displays 'not capable' under virtualization.

Virtualization is normally "Enabled" as Avast does now have a hypervisor for some of its security-related stuff.
If yours says "Not capable", is VT-x enabled in your BIOS setup? (it's off by default on many laptops).

Thanks

yup, its enabled in the bios. If i uninstall Avast, it will show up as enabled in the task manager. Its not a big deal.
