A quick question........
« on: February 22, 2011, 04:10:59 PM »
Hi all where is the avast network shield log file report? I am just logged in the avast forum and reading some post and suddenly network shield reported that malicious url blocked. Dont know what happened... at that time i was just upgrading avast to its latest beta version.

Thanks in advance........

Thanks David but there is nothing related to this issue. The last report in the log just says

avast! Real-time Shield Scan Report

If it isn't there, all I can suggest is right click on the avast tray icon and select 'Show last popup message,' but if there were any later ones or you had rebooted then that wouldn't be helpful.

Well seems like i lost it. okey thanks for your time. But on a side note avast report file should have more information. Now i looked at it, all the shield has No report at all just the start time and nothing else.. what is the use of it then?

You're welcome.

The network shield should have entries for the detections/alerts, I know it used to have them, but just checked mine and there is no entry for one I tested today.

A report that records nothing is worse than no report at all.

Whilst the Traffic History shows the 1 detection made, but not recorded.
