If you attach the logs then as soon as I have downloaded them you may remove them from your post.  Although the data in the logs is just your computer name and I am sure that there are a lot of people with similar names  ;D

Sorry -- I have been distracted by some other issues.  I will attach the files tomorrow approximately 8-10 pm UK time.  Thanks!

Essexboy -- so sorry for the delay.  I meant to do this a few days ago.  I'm still interested in your thoughts on this, but I do note the initial issue has not reoccurred.  I've gone ahead and attached the logs.  Let me know when you've looked at them and I will delete them.  Thanks!

Nothing apparent on the logs at all - looks quite clean

I have done some rummaging around and this can sometimes happen for no apparent reason and then promptly fix itself.

Any other problems ?

No, nothing else seems to be wrong.  Like I said, this problem isn't even showing up anymore -- it did it once and went away.  I appreciate your looking at this, and your patience with my delays.  Thank you very much!

I am having the same issue and try to install Microsoft Office and will not let me - I am trying to run the Avast scan but keeps stopping at the users\Debi\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\default.odli\extension - stops and goes no further
