AIS problem with the SETUP?
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:32:55 PM »
When the Avast  Internet Security is seeking a new database, the Setup (configuration parameters) file located in the folder: \ALWIL Software\Avast\Setup changes stating that an older version of the database is the latest available. It's always the same version that appears when the problem happens: 110616-1

Example: Today is the database 110705-1 Avast but for the most recent version is 110616-1 and this also affects the program that ends up saying that the latest version is 6.0.1125 and not 6.0.1203

Below prints I took yesterday of the problem:

I hope you help me!

Thank you!

----------

I've done the repair Avast. I uninstalled and reinstalled 6 times, both in safe mode Windows, as normal. I installed the FREE version to test, but the problem continues.

@Para-Noid
Thank you for contact, but I decided to take drastic measures.  I  format the computer.

If that does not work, I have to change antivirus.

Thank you!

Predictably, formatting the hard drive did not solve my problem. The Avast server is returning the wrong data on the database to my program.
