Hi guys,

its been the first virus I've had at home for years now, but the dreaded x virus has struck my computers at home.

So far the only thing I've managed to pick up was this:
The virus seems to be creating the following three files:
C:\Windows\system32\x
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\62G2YMZB\lgomgl[1].png
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\62G2YMZB\congyy[1].png

All three these files are executable's as indicated by previous posters.

I will now be performing an avast boot scan and see how it goes. Will keep providing feedback until the issue is resolved.

Never mind, it seems getting completely rid of this virus is close to impossible. Nothing removes it, nothing.

Re-install, here we come.

Read the instructions, download and burn (maybe from another computer), finally use one of this rescue CD's:
1. Dr. Web
2. Avira
3. BitDefender
4. Kaspersky
5. F-Secure

Specially Dr. Web could manage this situation...
