Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net
it is not a virus, but a Browser Hijacker .... classed as PUP
PUP = not virus / Possible Unwanted Program

follow the guide Asyn gave you and attach the logs...
Malwarebytes should clear this but there may be leftover files that need removal. the removal expert will see this from the OTL / aswMBR logs

Please, help me first with this one because in spite you said "it's not a virus", after the infection I can't start normally such PC due some errors (attached too)

Hi,

Please download AdwCleaner (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/) by Xplode and save to your Desktop.

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/) by Farbar and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

Please download GMER, AntiRootkit tool from the link below and save it to your Desktop:

Gmer download link (http://www2.gmer.net/download.php)
Note: file will be random named

Double-clicking to run GMER.
> Attach here Gmer logreports.

The AdwCleaner seems to be problematic due when the PC restarts doesn't start but in safe mode with network. Anyway, it offers the logs (attached).

Hi TwinHeadedEagle.

As I told you, the programs are not running properly (perhaps due we can't start W7 normally, but just in "safe mode with network"). I attach the execution results for FRST64.exe and the aswMBR.exe as well. I've tested even only marking the addition.txt checkbox, without success.

Next step, please?

Thank you in advance.

note: ComboFix must be downloaded to your Desktop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may interfere with Combofix.
If you are unsure how to do this please read this (http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f50/how-to-disable-your-security-applications-490111.html) or this (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html) Instruction.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Run ComboFix. Click on I Agree!

ComboFix will check if there is a newer version of ComboFix available.
Click Yes if prompted to download.

ComboFix will display DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY ON SOFTWARE.
Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue.

If Recovery Console is not installed, ComboFix will offer download & installation.

Title: Re: Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net
Post by: Fernando Eguilaz on December 04, 2013, 07:57:32 PM
Still the same, TwinHeadedEagle.

If I try to start normally the PC, once I enter my user password, the system freezes in "starting" forever.

If I start in safe mode (with or without network access), the browsers open akamaihd pages freely or show multiple pop-ups or ads. Obviously,  the rest of the behaviour is very poor due such "safe mode".

Perhaps I miss something after sending the ComboFix.txt files... Am I wrong? Any hints to step forward?

Thank you in advance.

Can you boot to Normal mode, and post fresh FRST report...

Post by: Fernando Eguilaz on December 04, 2013, 10:20:12 PM
Perhaps my english is not so good to explain as fine as I would like. I'm sorry.

I can't start in normal mode. Just after entering the user password (is the same admin or guest) the system stops at "initializing" screen and doesn't go ahead anymore.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your idea about "normal mode" but there is no way.

OK, we will need to scan system outside Windows...

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/) and save it to a flash drive.
In the next menu, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight Command Prompt and press Enter.
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach it to your reply.

There is no malware on your PC, but there is a possibility that Avast and Panda Internet Security interfere with one another...so we're going to remove Panda and see what is happening...

Open notepad.
Code: [Select]
S3 PSKMAD; C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\PSKMAD.sys [47632 2013-04-28] (Panda Security, S.L.)
C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\PSKMAD.sys

2013-12-04 00:03 - 2013-12-04 00:03 - 00000000 ____D C:\Program Files (x86)\Panda Security
C:\Users\TECN_FED\Downloads\PandaCloudCleaner.exe
>>  Boot into Recovery Environment

Start FRST in a similar manner to when you ran a scan earlier, but this time when it opens ....
>>  Exit out of Recovery Environment and post me the log please.

Try to boot Windows normally...

When did this issue happen, what time exactly, before Avast warning about this PUP, or after...
Title: Re: Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net
Post by: Fernando Eguilaz on December 05, 2013, 10:25:22 AM
Actually, I'm not sure Avast starts properly.

The W7 starts in normal mode. Then offers the login for my two users (both with administrative capabilities). Then I click on one of them and the system request the password. Just after entering the password and pressing enter, the system shows the "initializing" screen. A few seconds later, the screen goes to black. I can move the mouse and the keyboard answers to "caps", "numlock" and more.

If I try with ctrl-alt-supr, escape or whatever you could consider to interact with the system... simply does nothing: the black screen keeps on.

I would like to remember I have the avast! Endpoint Protection Suite, managed by the server machine as a SOA. And, perhaps is useful for you, the server detects my PC as terminal. But once logged in (and in black screen), the servers "deactivates" my PC as terminal. So, my conclussion is obvious: once identified in "normal mode" something wrong happens.
Title: Re: Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net
Post by: TwinHeadedEagle on December 05, 2013, 10:56:54 AM
I am not familiar with servers and Endpoint protection, pc is malware clean, you can try to remove avast and see what is happening...
Title: Re: Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net
Post by: Fernando Eguilaz on December 05, 2013, 12:37:57 PM
Following your hints, I've uninstalled the avast! Endpoint. After that, the system started in normal mode properly (so, the error was in avast?).

Then I've reinstalled the Endpoint (and ran a complete scan) with success.

After that, I've repeated the FSTR64 execution (I attach the results).

Please, could you have a look on them in order to confirm if in your opinion everything is solved at all?

The browsers seems to be ok, not showing pop-ups, nor unwanted ads, neither redirecting to akamaihd webpages. But any inspection from you will be welcome.

Thank you very much!

PS.- If solved, I will start sending the logs for the second PC infected, if you don't mind...

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

Now click on "Run" button. Wait for the programme completes his work.
All the tools we used should be gone.
