Title: full system scan vs boot-time scan
Post by: s.h. on June 30, 2012, 06:17:23 PM
I had a question. I have avast!Internet Security. When I run a full system scan, it takes around @30 minutes and scans @60,000 files. I just did a boot-time scan for the first time last night and it took @50 minutes for only @40,000 files. Why is it such a difference? I run the full system scan every week. Should I be running the boot-time scan instead?

Ok. When should you run the boot-time scan?

If you think/know that you're infected.
