any idea WHY, "out of date "

hav been using AVAST home edition for # of yrs,last night/this morning now getting a security warning ""VIRUS PROTCTION OUT OF DATE, registration was 2/11/09-new registration 2/11/10

using 4.8, even did a un install & re install & updated again.

Sometimes, Windows Security Center stops recognizing your antivirus or firewall... So, check your system time and date and also http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=23457.msg193534#msg193534

WOW,THANK YOU SIR followed yourinstrutions and now after reboot all ok, copy instructions, onto word pad to keep,(AVAST FIXIT) take care ok,        "Clato ;D
