Yes but unlike EICAR, Spycar tests will make real changes. So if any were to be allowed, but the clean-up tool "Tow Truck" blocked (which has happened to me with some security programs), you need to temporarily disable the AV/AS so that "Tow Truck" can reverse the changes.
