I have Avast5 Suite.
   And my problem is that when getting on Firefox after a while it loose connection and sometimes have to restart Firefox or my  computer. And the same situation happens with my wife's computer also. And if I'm running a program that doesn't run thru Firefox After a while it loose connection.
  Would really likes some help with

Not running any other security, Both systems

Windows XP media ctr ,
Amd 64
 3.7ghz 1.5 ram

Why do you think it's related to avast..?
Do you get any error(s)..??

Well I thought it might be, because both of my computers where doing the same thing And I haven't installed any new programs only Avast5.
But while weighting for a response I was checking the firewall and found that I also had the windows firewall running also. So I guess in the last update from ms it might have activated it. So what you think?  possible?

I had a similar problem to this

I just changed the Network Settings to NoProxy

Maybe you should try defining your Network

Actually, most programs use the Internet Explorer internet settings to connect to the Internet

Hmm.. I don't think so. Did you ever deactivate it..?
