When to use Repair, Delete or Move to Chest
« on: November 14, 2011, 06:21:49 PM »
When a scan has found an infected file it asks if I want to Repair, Delete or Move to Chest? I cannot find any advice from Avast on which I should chose and what will happen once I do, other than Move to Chest. Can anyone point me in the right direction or can anyone answer the question?  Because to me, I would want to either Repair the File and Deleting it makes me nervous as it could me deleting a file I may need.  You get the idea.  Thank you.

Without getting into details, generally speaking the "chest" option should be the "safest" (read as "conservative" or "do-as-less-harm-as-you-can").
