bsod avast 6.0.1125 with dump and info
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:42:48 PM »
dear avast team,

i'm using avast for a few years now. great av product!
today, it crashed for the first time :'(

info:
win7 x64 sp1 with all updates
mbam pro (resident shield on) side-by-side with avast
avast free (with filesystem, web, script and behavior shield)

if helpful - it crashed a few seconds after the green 'virus db
updated' info window slided in. as a sideeffect of the crash i
cannot update the signature db anymore (it says its up-to-date
but displays a message that a new one is available)

another observation - the win7 action center says that avast is not active
(anymore)  ???

i uploaded the minidump "av_user.dmp.051411.zip" to your ftp.

what an irony that this was the first ever avast bsod for me after your
changelog "solved a problem in aswSP.sys that could lead to a system crash" for build 1125

i hope you guys can fix this prob soon!

Offline igor

I'm afraid the uploaded file is empty (0 bytes long).

hi igor!

thanks for the fast reply!

i used the windows built-in ftp cmdline tool for the upload. i couldnt verify the correct
transfer.

now, av_user.dmp.051411_2.zip should be ok! (32035 Bytes gesendet in 0,93Sekunden 34,45KB/s)

thanks
