Avast 4.8-1351 killed Holdem Manager and PostreSQL, help me!
« on: October 29, 2009, 05:46:49 PM »
This is very annoying and really upsets me...

avast terminated start-up of Holdem Manager whit PostgreSQL-DB.

Have tried to put both as exeptions, but too late, now I cant get acsess to my pokerdatabase and programs worth $100 seems to be worthless.

PostgreSQL must be a well known DB for Avast and I cant see why your SW have to kill it.

Have been using free avast for a long time, before uprading to the $$ Home-edition I had no problems, now it seems like your in the league of Norton, AVSW whit too heavy protection level.

Tell me how to fix this, if my poker-DB is compromised, this upgrade to $$-version have ruined 1 year+ of valuable pokerstats.

Hopeing for fast answer.

Thanks.

- what virus was reported?
- did you submit the files as false positives?
- what exactly did you enter into the list of exclusions?
- where did you enter the exclusions? (there are two lists, one for on-demand tasks, the other one for resident protection)
