Is avastUI.exe allowed to connect into Comodo firewall settings?

No, only alert was about avast setup.exe attempting to connect to the Internet, which I allowed and remembered.

Nothing re avastUI.exe in COMODO logs from yesterday or today.

Well... if avastUi.exe can't connect, it can't download the online content...
Isn't it an issue with Comodo firewall?

Tech,

Well, issues are now resolved.

 ???

I do not think it was due to configuration issues on my system, but, rather, issues with the rollout of server deployment on the part of Avast! re support of version 7.

For example, Market now loads, and connects, and I have created a new user account (page would not load or connect before today).  I made no configuration changes to my machine, other than allow avastsetup.exe to connect when COMODO asked.

I am not going to publish the avast! user account page as that has my email address posted, and do not want to be spammed in the future.  Suffice it to say, the account is connected and active ATM.

Have to say, Avast! is very responsive to user complaints and issues, so I am impressed.  Many users do not realize this, but due to the fact every machine is configured differently, unforeseen problems and conflicts can arise, and Avast! is somehow responsible for those conflicts or issues.  The fact that they do adjust and fix these problems is always a good sign, even though these configuration issues are almost infinite in scope.

Thanks for posting back mchain.

NP  ;D

BTW, congrats again on becoming a full avast! team member.

Looked elsewhere on the forum, seems it was the backend server issue on Avast! that may have been the source of the problem(s)   ::)
