Title: Am I the only one with this problem Avast wont start !

updated yesterday as asked ... now it wont run and I got a constant flag coming up saying

CAvastTrayIcon:Avastui.exe-application error
The exception unkown software exception (0xc0d007e) occurred in the application at location 0x758dd36f

found the thread downloaded and ran the little tool and it gave the a message saying it cant fix the problem as I dont have it 2

It wont run avast it wont let me change it I cant remove it from programs as it says its being used close it first .. but I cant close it as i end up in a never ending loop with the message above .. really getting ratty at being unprotected now .. I just want it off my computer

So guys what now ?

try a new clean install

remove from safe mode with this and reboot http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

then install again and reboot...

did it work?
