EVENT VIEWER: Avast Anti Virus
« on: January 31, 2004, 02:26:22 AM »
Hi!  ;D

I just opened XP Pro's event viewer log for AntiVirus, finding it empty? How often is it dumped? There must have been only a total of 8 entries....perhaps? Also, can I enable more advanced logging to appear? SPECIFICALY in the Windows Event Viewer: Anti Virus log?

Right now all it does is log updates.

Oh, and BTW: The log was cleared shortly AFTER the LAST program update. However, after the restart that Avast4 Home asked me for, I went into the Event Viewer (I'm talking about Windows Event Viewer in the admin tools?).... events were all logged.

Thanks for your input!

There have been some changes in the last update that may have caused this. (It was the Volume Shadow Copy fix).

Check the avast log viewer (warning/error categories in particular) - it should have the events logged as well...
