I've uninstalled Avast yesterday due to the bug causing the blue screen of death, i was getting it within 5 minutes of boot on my pc so now i'm running windows 8 without anti-virus (apart from windows defender) But i trust Avast much more. I installed the latest update which was said to fix this yet i still had it, which at that point i took it off my pc, however, i've heard uninstalling just the web shield then putting it back on fixes it, so if i install it now, from fresh, will it work without me getting blue screens? Much appreciated.
