Hello fellow malware fighters

I'm subscribed to Virus Watch & my AV keeps detecting & quarantining the email, I know the email itself doesn't have any malware attached to it, the attachments do contain links to live malware on the web. So just for my peace of mind, is it the live links to the live malware samples that's setting the AV off. most of the time its the mail shield, occasionally its the file shield or web shield.
