i have recently downloaded Avast 4.8 home edition and when i scanned my files it found a virus. it recommend me to send to the chest so when i opened the virus chest it would give me options such as scan file,delete file,properties, restore and extract. my problem is that i cant seem to find the function to repair the file. i have been told by a friend that there is a quarantine but i cant seem to find it and i was thinking the virus chest and quarantine might be the same thing. can any body help me please.

im not sure of full details but it was a trojan worm

if i remember correct trojans can`t be repaired bc the hole file is the trojan

leave it in the chest/quarantine for......30 days, in case it is a false positive,
this is what chest/quarantine is for
then once a week you right click on the file and scan again, if still infected after 30days delete
