« on: August 27, 2010, 07:46:22 PM »
My WMP version is 12.0.7600.16415 and my OS is Windows 7. WMP doesn't play .avi file.

Any suggestions!

Try MPlayer or VLC. If they don't play it, the file may be corrupt.

You need K-Lite Codecs....http://filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/   anyway you can watch movies with MediaPlayerClassic(MPC)

Download and install klite codec pack
http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
And when you install allow WMP to play all files.including AVI.
If dont work i will help you in the hard way

VLC plays it fine but not WMP.
