Verifying Scheduled Scans

I have just purchased Avast 4.8 pro and set a scheduled scan to occur at 3am.  There is no evidence in any log file or event viewer that this has occurred.  How do I know that it has run?

Did you set a report file?
Did you check avast log viewer? Is there anything detected?
In avast Pro, check the "Sessions" folder.
