Error launching managed avast
« on: June 07, 2006, 06:03:05 PM »
The icon is blue and running in the task bar but when trying to lauch the program to get to the interface it gives a popup that says Unknown error. "avast! Splash Screen" cannot load configuration.  You hit the ok button and you get another unknown error "avast! Simple User Interface" cannot load configuration.

How is this fixed?

What OS is this?

In 99% of cases, this is a problem with the ODBC drivers.

BTW the new version of the netclient (due in a couple of days) will NOT need these anymore...

Again, what OS is this?

If it's Win9x, please make sure the install folder of avast doesn't contain any non-Latin characters. The current version of managed avast has a bug that prevents it from working properly if the above conditions are met. This will be fixed in the upcoming program update.

Thanks
