Title: Avast detecting POP through P2P Program, Tixati
Post by: BlueNightSky on December 13, 2011, 05:08:09 AM
I have gotten the following message from Avast:

avast! has detected a secure connection from your mail program (process tixati.exe) to the POP server 76.10.130.33 (teksavvy.com).

This type of connection cannot be checked for viruses. Please disable SSL/TLS in your mail client so that the Mail Scanner can scan your mail. The Mail Scanner will provide the SSL/TLS security itself.

So first of all, I didn't even know Tixati was being used as a mail program. I recall seeing a few messages about it, but I ignored them thinking that it was probably just the updater checking something online. But the fact that I looked through the limited settings in the Tixati program and couldn't find anything that had an SSL/TLS setting in it to disable it kind of worries me. I would like to get some advice on what I should do. Is there any way I can make Avast block Tixati from being a mail program? I'm kind of lost here.

Is Tixati in your program files ? if it is and you dont use it then uninstall it from remove programs.
