CMedema as others have mentioned already generic uninstall tools aren't recomended and they can certainly mess things up, stick with the usuall uninstall procedure using windows remove then you can always follow up by running CCleaner for a tidy up, anything more needed imo should be done by a manual search for the product name and company name.

Is the Obit uninstaller less dangereus for innocent  :-\ users like me?

I would never use a product from IObit...!!!

Actually, CMedema said that he used the Revo uninstaller and others have mentioned generic uninstall tools aren't recommended ;D

Bob, Revo is also a generic uninstaller so i believe ;) anything other than the windows remove is generic and imo shouldn't be used  :)

I believe that's what I said in my original post.
Similar  :) it was my original post suggesting to CMedema not to ues Revo that dragged it all the way to where we are now  ;)
