Vlk responded to this earlier today.

I have been told that some of the servers were having some issues today - the ETA for a fix is tomorrow.
Please check back tomorrow evening, and if the problem isn't resolved please tell us.

Thanks
Vlk

For me it was 8 hours ago which is still today here. Depends on your geographic location. It is 4:09am in the Czech Republic right now. I would imagine that a majority of the avast! team is still in bed. Their tomorrow has only been here for 4 hours and 9 minutes.

I wanna know how to change the time on the forums for me also.. if that is what you was asking also. :P

Editing: I'm also Eastern standard time here is how to change the time on the forums
Click Profile->Look and Layout->Time Offset..  You can click Auto Detect that will detect the time by your computer and set it by that but it set mine to -4 instead of 0

1. Why do you think the issue is in the number of servers or bandwidth?
2. Can you help us with some money? ;D ;D

 >:( Dido! Why do we have to find out this kind of problems, after the fact? Is anybody working at this company to send a freaking mass notification email to pay users? Not talking about picking up the phone, when we call!!!!
How long it's been, 2 days now?   :o  HELP!

well what are u exactly talking about? streaming updates? streaming updates are not that critical to users to warrant mass notification email.
the traditional virus updates are sufficient to protect u.

if it is other problems posted all over this forums, well they r not widespread...posting email to paid users will only alarm them for nothing.
please note that it seems widespread here as forums are meant for reporting problems by large, not praise Avast! (if u want, u can though)

at the phone problem, maybe u should try calling at different time intervals say 2-3 hrs after ur 1st call and so? the lines maybe really busy given the new major release.
if u tried that and did not get a response for 2 days, yup then i will say Avast! should notify the third party phone support that it is not doing its job well...
