Anti-Theft settings on a tablet ?
« on: January 10, 2012, 04:56:11 PM »
When turning on the Anti-Theft feature I'm presented with a popup that says 'Anti-Theft will be switched to stealth mode at the next device restart. The application MAY shutdown now on some phones. Start it then by CALLING your avast! password. Continue?'

However, I've installed this on a tablet that does not have a dialler application. How would I start avast! if I cannot call my avast password ? Will the fake application I set up during the installation still get me to the settings ?

Thanks

Anti-Theft is not yet supported on Tablets without GSM module. You'll need the upcoming web frontend to access it.

It does have GSM and can send texts, use 3G data etc. there's just no cellular dialler application

Yes, but the ROM for tablet is different and 3G/GSM module only provides the internet connection. Or you can actually perform the call from the device? Anyway you should try to install some dialer from market or custom launcher and try it.
