Help with settings
« on: March 29, 2010, 04:18:59 PM »
Is it recommended to use the default settings? If not what are the suggested settings for advanced users?

Options in scan settings such as "Always remove the whole archive" seem to be "safer". Running Avast! on a schedule, reporting all items found, program automatic updates etc seem to be better options but I just want to ask to be sure.

thanks in advance

Default settings will do for most people, but it never hurts to check all settings.
There are no suggested settings for advanched users.
It depends on the system, what it is used for etc etc.

It could be... for instance, in P2P downloads, the presence of one infected file is a sign that the whole archive is a bad one after all...
