JS:Obfuscated-J

everytime I open my web browser (MOZILLA) i get a hit on this JS:Obfuscated-J. It shows it trying to open a connection. Avast stops the connection but I can not figure out how to clean it so it stops. Any help would be appreciated.

avast did the job, blocking the access to an infected site. You don't have to do nothing. You're clean.
What you can do is clean your Internet Temporary Cache files and do not visit this particular site.

I am unable to loacte the data file. I am not sure why because I believe I looked at it yesterday. The  system will now only boot in safe mode but seems to operate normally in that. When I try to start it regularly it goes through the process all the way to the windows sound and then stops. I have also tried to run a system restore from the safe mode and it will not allow me to do so. When i ran avast last night it found a virus call something crypt. It says it removed them , other than the hit i get when i log into mozilla that is the only time avast has recognized that virus. It does not do it when i use IE.

clean all your internet files then and do a full scan with archive on and tell me if its out

cantrell35, can you boot and choose the option 'Last known good configuration' instead of Safe Mode?
