Not protected

When I hover my mouse over the AVAST icon in my task bar, it says "Attention, your system is not fully protected". I have the most current downloads on my computer. What do I need to do to be fully protected?

What version of avast are you using as this is the avast 4 PDA version forum you have posted in and your qquestion doesn't relate to this product:

What avast version are you using 4.8 or 5.0 (free, AIS or Pro version) ?

Do you use any other antivirus in your computer?

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?
