Avast Free V.S AIS
« on: November 29, 2010, 05:51:13 PM »
I have been pondering this as I'm interested in purchasing a license. What interesting things utilities or applications are offered? Why would you reccomend Avast Internet Security? What is the sandbox?

Just some general questions so you have an idea of what I'm inquiring about.

Hey!

Sandbox work as protection layer for unknown programs/application. When you install AIS will get antispam, firewall and the sandbox.

I recommend you AIS; if you want to pay than this is worth the money:)

I recommend AIS, but I suggest that you try it before you buy it, as everyone has their own preferences. Its sandbox let's you isolate applications from your computer, so threats that are undetected won't be able to infect your system. The Silent Firewall is hassle-free, yet configurable. It also comes with a few network utilities (network lock, Geo IP/IP Tracker, fix network stack). The Antispam Filter is accurate and needs no configuration.
