mywebsearch removal
« on: October 17, 2010, 02:21:38 AM »
I am trying to remove mywebsearch from my windows7 (64 bit) This is my first time ever posting on a forum so, I hope I do it right.
There is no program showing in the add/remove control panel with anything close to this.  Scanning with avast! shows no virus or threats, yet, I know it is still installed (when I open Mozilla Firefox, there it is!) If there is no way to get rid of it, how do I wipe my system and start again?

I ran Xoftspy, and it shows 53 cookies.  They want 10 bucks and I am not sure that is the real answer (I am a poooor college student).  Any help is really appreciated. Someday these creeps will get thier karma kick!  I will NEVER ever trust anyone on my machine again.
Thanks

Hi, yes, you are in bad luck because mywebsearch, why the crap were you on there anyway?
There is something called Google.com!

Oh yeah, XiftSpy is a rouge application. Removal Here:

Mywebsearch toolbar is spyware. Removal Here:

If that doesn't work, try this:
