everything seems fine now the internet dosent start half the time but i can work round that its not a problem (unless you know how to fix it quickly) many thanks again  ;D ;D

when i press the any of the shortcuts (desktop/start menu/quick launch)it can take anything from 1sec to 5 mins to open and hook onto the internet if at all, and when it does it sometimes hangs and recovers the page when i restart explorer again, i hope this makes sense, its a pain but can be lived with if nessessary cheers mate  :)

i think ive sorted it now it was the wrong domain name in the internet options homepage address it was google.co.uk/ now its google.com/ and everything seems fine,

I know ive said this a few times now, But thankyou very much for your clear and precise instructions i am very greatful for your time and effort  :-*
