Title: how to uninstall avast mobile and anti-theft

Where do I find the information to remove this product?

please go to your anti theft program and consult the in program help there is a lot of information that will help you.

The Anti Theft part seems to be working just fine, and that's all I wanted. Silly me installed Avast when prompted by my old version of TA and gave it root permissions. I don't want Avast. I have 'uninstalled' it (and some problems with my phone went away) but my guess is that a simple uninstall won't do. ::)

I wish I had known in advance that it is possible to just extract the Theft Aware part and ditch the mobile protection app later!

Yes, this is perfectly OK and supported (Install Mobile Security, set up Anti-theft, Uninstall Mobile Security --> Anti-theft will stay).

Thank you. A simple uninstall seems to be fine. Maybe I hadn't given root permissions to the mobile protect app after all.  :)

Good news: in the next official update Mobile Security will contain an uninstall wizard for Anti-Theft which is also able to uninstall rooted installations (of course password protected).
