Yes, a lot of downloaders try to earn a little now on the side by coming bundled with such junk- and crapware.
First do a scan with both MBAM and SAS and further cleanse with AdwCleaner.

In GoogleChrome the toolbar also changes the policy set for downloads, you have to manually reset this via
regedit Go to that Registry Editor
Go to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\
Double-click at the UpdateDefault or DefaultUpdate
And type 0 to 1
Exit Registry Editor and Go to your browser!
