I uninstalled Zone Alarm, did a disk clean-up, and  defrag.
Next, I added something called NoScript 2.6.4.2.   I don't know if it is any good or not.  Maybe you do.
Computer doesn't seem to be hesitating/or sticking....
However, having trouble using Facebook.  It tells me:
"For a better experience on Facebook, enable JavaScript in your browser."
I have enabled, but still see that notice and cannot post.

Replace ZA with http://www.filehippo.com/download_outpost_firewall/ and see if that keeps a reasonable speed

So far, reasonable speed; HOWEVER, every time new page comes up I get a "firewall report" in bottom right hand of screen, and I don't know how to shut that off :-[
It states:  Incoming connection is allowed
(below it)   gives Process, Local Address, Local Port
Can you help me to turn that off so it won't show up everytime the screen changes?

I have never used it myself but there is a video tutorial here http://www.top-windows-tutorials.com/Outpost-firewall-03.html

Watched video, but it didn't mention how to shut off that tiny little alert (or you might say notification) at the bottom right of screen.  It shows up for about 10 seconds when I land on new page, then closes.
Sorry to be such a bother :(

This little "alert" window/box at the bottom right of screen that pops up every time I go to a different page is really getting annoying.  I've also noticed that sometimes I can't type on pages while the little window is up.  It is only up about 10 seconds, but still.
I remember with Zone Alarm, I had the Suite (that was free).  It wanted me to use the anti-virus, but I wouldn't because I had Avast! and was very pleased with it.
Is there any way I can get just the Zone Alarm firewall, without all the extra stuff?
A while back, I had it before I got the "Suite", and my computer ran fine.
What do you think?

OK remove Outpost and install ZA free from here http://www.zonealarm.co.uk/security/en-us/zonealarm-pc-security-free-firewall.htm  but be advised it may slow your system down

Wanted to update you.
I removed Outpost and installed Zone Alarm, and as you said it made my computer run slower.  So, I uninstalled Zone Alarm and installed Outpost again; however, this time (during installation) I saw a little window pop up that had a box for a check mark stating if I didn't wish to see the window again to put a check mark in the box, so I did.  No more problems with the little window popping up anymore.
I disk cleaned and defragged, run Malwarebytes (computer clean) and run Spybot Search & Destroy (computer clean).  My computer seems to be running good now, so I suppose you can close this thread.
But I want to THANK YOU ALLl for helping me get my computer fixed and running good.
My little thank you might not seem like much to you, but think back to the time when you first learned about computers and needed help from an expertise.  It is a comforting feeling and no more STRESS!!
I send a BIG HUG to you and pray God showers you with blessings!!
Thanks again,
Barb   :)
