A temporary file of 30,075KB, jre-7-x64.exe, found in C:\Windows\Temp\avast_ash\Java Runtime Environment 7 (64 Bit) has recently appeared.  It is always present when I run Ccleaner despite having been removed on the previous occasion.  I was prompted to carry out an avast! update recently and wonder if this has anything to do with the file's appearance.  I recorded notes that I had virus definition 140408-2 on April 9th and 140411-1 on April 12th.
I should appreciate advice.

What version of Avast do you have?  Your last Avast update was April12th?  Are you not getting updates at least daily?  Have you tried a manual update?

What version of Java do you have?  When you upgrade Java, are you removing the previous version or just upgrading over the previous version?

I thank you for your response.

From About avast!
Program version:2014.9.0.2016
Virus definitions version: 140415-0
I have not tried a manual update

Java version: 7; update 45
I have not recently updated Java.
Should I remove the previous version of Java or upgrade over the previous version when I do it?

I wondered, simply, why the temporary file suddenly appeared recently.

I updated Java from Update 45 to 51, using avast! Software Updater.  The temporary file no longer appears when Ccleaner has analyzed.
